Departments of Neuropsychiatry and Public Health, Alexandria and Tanta Universities, EGYPT Some observations from a study of 2,745 patients with psychiatric disorders from the outpatients clinics at the Alexandria University Central Hospital have been presented. There are significantly more neurotics and fewer psychotics among women. Mental disorders were in general most prevalent in the 15 to 30 age group. No definite educational correlates with any group of mental disorders were recognized in this study.
